Whether you're a massage enthusiast or if this is your first time considering getting some bodywork, I wanted to provide a helpful guide to my understanding of the techniques and services I offer so you can choose what would be suit you and your needs. I am always happy to make recommendations and suggestions, just ask!
Slow flow is what I call my massage therapy style and technique. It's based around a Swedish style foundation. The strokes are mostly long, gliding, and rhythmic all over the body. I mainly work with my hands, fingers and fists, incorporating elbows and forearms if you want deeper pressure. Some other techniques include kneading, wringing and pressing specific points and knots (acupressure, reflexology and trigger point modalities can be incorporated based on your goals and preferences).
It's ultimately up to you! 60 minutes is enough time to get a full body massage and receive the benefits of a full body rejuvenation. I generally recommend this for first timers or those who have a hard time laying down for extended periods of time. Thought my table is very comfortable, elderly folks and those with back and mobility issues can find the 90 minute option to be a bit more taxing on the body. 90 minutes is great for those who already know that they love massage and enjoyed sessions more detailed to their own goals and preferences. This is ideal if you want a full body massage along with some targeted work in a specific area! If you are planning to incorporate 3 or more add ons in your session, a longer session will allow for a comprehensive session covering all areas and integrating all the tools necessary.
It mainly comes down to your body, budget, and goals for the session.
Each massage service comes with hot towels, aromatherapy and hot packs to ensure a quality spa like experience and maximum relaxation. Each of the add ons available provides an added layer of customization as well as therapeutic benefits catered to your needs.
This entirely depends of what you have planned for the rest of the day and how you usually feel after getting bodywork! Some people get a boost of energy and their whole body feels lighter, stronger, and more flexible, so they prefer a morning or early afternoon session to help them start their day invigorated and refreshed. Others find that a massage makes them feel sleepy and heady, so they prefer to get worked on after the sun goes down, so they can just go home and roll right into bed! Neither is better or worse, it just depends on the type of session and experience you want, and also how your body reacts when the tissue and lymph is being worked on.
